A commission from the late 2000s to create images for the album Lost in the Abyss, music composed and performed by the band Orca.
Elements
The album's recordings were largely live studio performances featuring extended improvisational sections with psychedelic elements. These themes were incorporated into the visuals.
Concept
The more conceptual part of the work forms a loose pattern when combined with copies of itself. One image evokes individual experience and mortality, while the pattern left to be discovered evokes interconnections across experience with no real beginning or end.
